#1. You shop at trendy teen stores

That’s a big no, period! The outfit teens wear is not the clothing you should wear. The cuts, styles and sometimes quality is different than yours and you have to consider it as a general rule of thumbs.

The way youth is doing the polka dots print trend may not be the way you should. If she is wearing leopard print leggings and you like it, change your focus to a pair of cute leopard flat instead. Check out our new arrival here to see the new styles and collection we put together for you.

#2: Wearing graphic humor t-shirt with weird quotes

Think about your audiences and the people you are interacting with if you don’t work with kids at daycare you probably don’t want to look silly wearing a t-shirt that has a funny quote on it.  Your outfit must be a reflection of your personality, a smart powerful and stylish woman.

If you wear a short top, don’t show too much skin, be mindful of highlighting your best features, pair your short top with a cool jacket or a long pants. The sheer panel is a classy way to look elegant and sexy, it gives coverage and is age-appropriate.

#3: You still wear the dresses you wore 10 years ago

Remember this golden rule, looking modern is more important than looking trendy, this especially applies to people who hold onto their dresses for decades.

Go through your closet and update it every other year at the most. If you are into vintage dresses, mix them with a modern piece like a cute leather jacket.

If you like ripped denim, keep the rips minimal on the knees, don’t wear denim that has rips all the way to your bottom, you can dress up ripped denim with a fitted jacket and a cute top instead.

If your body doesn’t look perfect, you don’t have to skip swimsuit. There is plenty of one-pieces swimsuit out there in the market with cut out, built-in waistline and chest support that show off your beauty without revealing the areas you are not happy with.

Remember: You can do trendy stuff but be mindful of cut, fit, and how it fits into your lifestyle.

#4: Quality over quantity

My coworker is 28. When she wears a $15 dress from Forever 21 she looks like a goddess. I bet if I wore the same dress, I would look like a tragic before picture in a makeover contest. But I’m 15 years older than her.

She can pull off wearing a top without a bra, how about me? My body has been changed, I feel stronger and healthier but definitely, I’m not the same girl I used to be 20 years ago.

Bottom line? As we age, we should invest more in better quality pieces over quantity, quality garment creates a sophisticated look. Take a look at this beauty: Pleated Bust Fit & Flare Midi Dress, Fully Lined in Burnout Velvet, V Neck
