Since the first human decided it was a bit cold outside and put together a mammoth wool fursuit, blacks are at the forefront of fashion. To look cool is part of our expression and our creativity, so it is natural that we have created our own sartorial culture.

Although each person's personal style is different, there are some accepted standards that apply to all cultures, including categories of clothing. We all saw someone at the club who clearly wore church clothes or someone who wore an "outfit" outfit during Sunday morning worship. Although we know it when we see it, we decided to dive into the black dress choices a bit deeper.

1. Formal Events

Formal events are the highest category of black fashion, the list of places to wear formal clothes includes job interviews, funerals, a court, and all 50th-anniversary celebrations.

Comedian Steve Harvey was one of the first entrepreneurs to take advantage of the church suites phenomenon when he introduced his line of 62-button church suits.

Because people are wearing something at the church now, it is very unlikely that someone is wearing church clothes at the church, unless it's for the pastor's birthday or another occasion special for which the choir scrolls. The Easter suit is the highest class of church clothing too.

Church shoes are the anchor of church clothes, but they must be a hard bottom. Stacy Adams is one of the founding fathers of the "hardbottom" movement and still reigns to this day. A pair of Stacy Adams is basically the "red background" of church shoes. In fact, I urged him to take advantage of the popularity of Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" by replacing his slogan with:

2. Special Occasions Outfits

Whether it's a Beyoncé concert, a date or a cookout, "outfits" are pre-selected for special occasions and often include multiple pieces.

The only way to preserve an outfit is to suspend it from a chair or lay on a bed until the special day arrives. Once worn, the outfit is usually worn by the dyer, even if it is machine washable. In the rare cases where an outfit is washed, it justifies a special ceremonial ritual called "rolling out the ironing board".

He must not iron an outfit on the bed.

The highest level of outfits is worn by people attending historically black colleges and universities. Although church garments fall technically into a higher category, a homecoming outfit surpasses an Easter suit.

3. "Outlet" clothing

The outfits accentuate the physical characteristics of the wearer and reinforce his self-esteem. They are usually worn during appointments, in nightclubs and whenever a person thinks he can meet his ex.

Women choose their outfits based on their appearance in a large mirror in the locker room of a retail store. Unbeknownst to most women, they also choose men's clothing.

Whenever a woman says to a man "I like these shoes" or "You look great in this shirt", it's automatically part of his outfit collection. Some people often think that some men carry the same thing all the time, but if the good woman compliments a man's clothes, he will buy 212 versions.

The highest class of "outing" clothes is the "Titty dress".

Tanzania McIntyre said that each woman wore a dress that looked like her breasts had eight hours of sleep and a good, healthy breakfast. This category is not limited to dresses. My source also tells me that every woman has jeans that give her back as if she was doing 200 squats a night.
